É difícil falar de um assunto quando envolve abuso de criança ou adolescente, mas nesta terça, 18 de Maio, a data determinada oficialmente pela Lei 9.970/2000, em memória à menina Araceli Crespo que foi brutalmente assassinada, é lembrado e muitas ações realizadas para que nesse dia especialmente, as vítimas sejam encorajadas a denunciarem os agressores.


Segundo a presidente do CMDCA (Conselho Municipal dos Direitos da Criança e do Adolescente), Joeli Gomes, conhecida como Jô, o Dia Nacional de Combate ao Abuso e à Exploração Sexual de Crianças e Adolescentes, é o convite para uma reflexão, pois o problema é considerado de saúde pública e ocasiona sérios prejuízos as vítimas, envolvendo aspectos psicológicos, sociais e legais. 

Muitas vezes o agressor está dentro de casa e as vítimas são cercadas pelo medo e acabam silenciando por anos. “Precisamos quebrar esse tabu e fazer com que as pessoas tenham coragem de denunciar” finalizou Jô.
