Produtor rural do município de Brasnorte (distante 494 km de Sorriso) denuncia que índios da região, sem especificar a etnia, atearam fogo na ponte sobre rio Membeca. Em um vídeo gravado ainda com a fumaça que compromete a ponte, o produtor, que é identificado como Agnaldo, afirma que os índios atearam fogo em retaliação a uma possível medida contra a demarcação de terras e, com isso, impedir a produção rural.
O vídeo foi gravado no sábado (23) e ganhou grande repercussão nos grupos de WhatsApp. O produtor, que é conhecido na região, clamou ao deputado federal Nelson Barbuso (PSL) para interferir no assunto. “É uma vergonha vetar a produção”, diz.
Segundo ele, não tem como escoar a produção. “Como vai tirar a soja, milho e algodão do lá, se os índios estão queimando nossas pontes”, reforça.
A ponte tem 25 metros e, conforme o produtor, tem um custo de cerca de R$ 300 mil para o Estado. A Secretaria de Estado de Infraestrutura e Logística (Sinfra) afirmou ao que um engenheiro vai até o local verificar os danos. A ponte está localizada na MT 488, portanto de responsabilidade do estado.
A Secretaria também recomendou à prefeitura de Brasnorte registrar um boletim de ocorrência. O registro policial, por ter sido fogo proposital, pode também agilizar recursos para o reparo emergencial.
Com isso, o fato também passa a ser investigado pelas autoridades policiais.
