Em agosto, Sorriso vai ser o palco da etapa regional do Festival Estudantil Temático Teatro para o Trânsito (Fetran) de 2019. Em sua 16.ª edição, o Fetran é promovido pela Superintendência Regional da Polícia Rodoviária Federal de Mato Grosso (PRF/MT), em parceria com a Secretaria de Estado de Educação (Seduc), com o Departamento de Trânsito de Mato Grosso (Detran), com a Secretaria de Estado de Cultura, Esporte e Lazer (Secel), e com as prefeituras das cidades-sede das etapas regionais.

O festival será disputado em quatro categorias: Infantil (1.º ao 5.º ano do Ensino Fundamental), Infantojuvenil (6.º ao 9.º ano do Ensino Fundamental), Juvenil (Ensino Médio, Educação de Jovens e Adultos –EJA e cursos tecnológicos/profissionalizantes), e Educação Especial. As inscrições podem ser feitas até o dia 25 de maio, pelo site do festival (www.fetran.com.br), onde é também possível verificar o edital da competição, que traz, entre outras informações, os eixos temáticos que devem fazer parte do roteiro das peças de acordo com cada categoria.

O festival terá início com a Etapa Aricá Mirim, que será realizado de 3 a 7 de junho, em Campo Verde. Na sequência, a Etapa Araguaia será promovida em Primavera do Leste, de 17 a 21 de junho. O município de Querência recebe a Etapa Xingu, de 1.º a 5 de julho. Já no mês de agosto, Campos de Júlio será o palco da Etapa Guaporé, do dia 12 ao dia 16. Do dia 26 ao dia 30, será promovida a Etapa Teles Pires, em que serão selecionados os espetáculos de Sorriso e dos municípios da região. Já em setembro, do dia 9 ao dia 13, em Várzea Grande, será promovida a etapa Cuiabá.  A final do festival (Etapa Mato Grosso), em que participam os vencedores das etapas regionais, será promovido em Cuiabá, do dia 23 ao dia 27 de fevereiro.

“O Fetran tem muita tradição por trabalhar uma questão muito séria, que é o trânsito, de maneira lúdica, por meio do teatro, por isso, ficamos muito honrados em ser uma das sedes da competição, pois também acreditamos que a educação é a melhor ferramenta para promover mudanças eficientes na sociedade”, destaca a secretária de Educação e Cultura do município, Lúcia Korbes Drechsler.

O diretor do Departamento de Cultura, Antônio de Paula Ferreira, destaca que o fato de Sorriso ser sede da etapa regional deve estimular a participação de muitas escolas do município. “O teatro é trabalhado em escolas e também em oficinas de cultura ofertadas pelo Departamento, por isso, sabemos que o público pode esperar uma competição de muito talento no palco, tanto dos atores, quanto de textos e cenografia”, comenta.
