Uma forte chuva voltou a atingir a cidade de Petrópolis na tarde desta terça-feira (22) e causou inundação, segundo a Defesa Civil.

Uma semana após o temporal que deixou ao menos 183 mortos e 83 desaparecidos, bombeiros tiveram que interromper as buscas em áreas em que ainda há muitas pessoas soterradas, como a Vila Felipe.

De acordo com a Defesa Civil Estadual, as sirenes de alerta instaladas em todos os distritos de Petrópolis foram acionadas para marcar a ocorrência de chuva moderada na última hora.

O bairro mais atingido no momento é Bingen, próximo ao Centro. Segundo o Cemaden-RJ (Centro Estadual de Monitoramento e Alerta de Desastres Naturais), choveu 7,8 mm na região em 1 hora.

A rua Bingen foi inundada pela chuva e militares atuam para auxiliar a população no local. Em frente ao hospital de campanha montado pela Marinha, parte da margem do rio cedeu e bloqueou uma faixa de trânsito.

A previsão indica que o tempo continuará chuvoso até a noite desta terça.

O Inmet (Instituto Nacional de Meteorologia) havia emitido no fim da manhã desta terça-feira um alerta de chuva forte para Petrópolis. De acordo com o órgão, existe expectativa de chuva variando entre 30mm e 60mm em apenas uma hora na cidade, além de uma média diária de 50 mm a 100 mm entre terça e quarta (23). Também são previstos ventos intensos, que podem chegar a 100 Km/h. O Inmet cita riscos de cortes de energia elétrica, queda de árvores, alagamentos e descargas elétricas.

O alerta meteorológico vale para todo o estado do Rio de Janeiro, o sul do Espírito Santo e a Zona da Mata mineira —regiões que fazem divisa com municípios fluminenses.
