De janeiro a julho deste ano, a Coordenação de Proteção e Defesa Civil (Compdec), um dos braços da Secretaria de Segurança Pública, Trânsito e Defesa Civil (Semsep), registrou 436 atendimentos. O maior volume de serviços está relacionado ao apoio às equipes do Corpo de Bombeiros Militar (BM) no combate a incêndios.

De acordo com dados do Corpo de Bombeiros, neste primeiro semestre foram registrados 131 incêndios, sendo que 99 deles em áreas de vegetação. Somente em julho, a Compdec atuou em 40 ocorrências de fogo em terrenos. O trabalho da Compdec não se limita somente às ações de combate ao fogo. O trabalho dos integrantes da Defesa Civil contempla uma série de ações, como isolamento de áreas de acidentes com fios caídos e postes abalroados; apoio à Secretaria de Assistência Social (Semas); apoio à Guarda Municipal; vistoria em árvores que apresentam risco potencial de queda; vistoria em pontes, assim como em áreas de erosão e outros pontos que demandam interdição do trânsito.

“Nosso foco é sempre atuar de maneira conjunta e integrada, garantindo a segurança e o bem-estar das pessoas”, destaca o responsável pela Compdec, Alberto dos Santos. Desde maio do ano passado, a Compdec funciona na Praça das Fontes, ao lago do Ginásio Domingão. A unidade conta com expediente administrativo de segunda a sexta-feira, das 7h às 13h.
