Que a boca é a porta de entrada de muitas doenças a gente já sabe, né? Agora, o que é importante ressaltar é que evitar esse quadro é possível e muito fácil: basta fazer a higiene correta dos dentes e da língua. E pra dar uma mãozinha nesse sentido a Prefeitura de Sorriso acaba de disponibilizar aparelhos de ultrassom odontológico com jato de bicarbonato para todas as Unidades Básicas de Saúde (UBSs). Para isso, foram investidos R$ 35.520,00 de recursos próprios da Prefeitura Municipal.

O equipamento, conforme a coordenadora de Atenção Bucal, Luciana Bussolaro, o  ultrassom com jato de bicarbonato é um aparelho próprio para profilaxia,  na remoção de manchas, placas bacterianas e tártaros; até então esse trabalho era realizado de forma mecânica com o uso de uma escova rotatória.  Para Luciana, esse é um avanço “muito grande na saúde bucal ofertada à população”.

Vale ainda lembrar que o acesso à saúde bucal se dá de forma gratuita pela Secretaria de Saúde e Saneamento, por meio da Atenção Primária à Saúde. Para isso, basta que o cidadão procure uma das 29 UBSs que atendem no Município, quer seja na cidade ou nos distritos – o ideal é sempre procurar a que oferta atendimento mais próximo da residência. Após o atendimento e avaliação na UBS, quando houver necessidade o dentista encaminha para tratamento especializado no Centro de Especialidades Odontológicas (CEO).

Cuidados diários

Luciana aproveita para reforçar que a “desatenção à higiene frequente de dentes e língua pode causar enfermidades em outras partes do corpo ainda é pouco considerado pelo cidadão”. E para evitar doenças, o ideal é a consulta periódica ao dentista e os cuidados diários como a escovação dos dentes e da língua, associada ao uso de creme dental com flúor e do fio dental.

Outra dica é analisar se existem lesões ou feridas. Entre as lesões, destacam-se manchas, caroços, inchaços, placas esbranquiçadas ou avermelhadas. Elas aparecem na língua, bochecha, lábios, céu da boca, embaixo da língua ou na garganta. “Para evitar tudo isso é essencial o cuidado diário e o acompanhamento com dentista”, finaliza.
