Do que a falta de chuva atrapalhou e trouxe preocupações no plantio, agora o grande volume das águas quem traz inquietação aos produtores em Mato Grosso. Até o dia 20 de janeiro o estado colheu apenas 5,9% dos 11,8 milhões de hectares destinados para a cultura na safra 2022/23.

O percentual, segundo o Instituto Mato-grossense de Economia Agropecuária (Imea), ao se comparar com os trabalhos da temporada 2021/22 os mesmos se encontravam em 13,3% da área nesta época. Já a média dos últimos cinco anos para o período é de 9,3% de área colhida.

Em seu boletim semanal da soja, divulgado no dia 16, o Imea destacou que o grande volume de chuvas, somada a baixa luminosidade nas últimas semanas, elevou o ciclo da oleaginosa em algumas regiões, o que dificulta os trabalhos de colheita.

“Apesar do atraso, até o momento as lavouras apresentam condições dentro do esperado pelos produtores na maior parte de Mato Grosso”, salientou.

Norte e oeste de Mato Grosso mais avançados

De acordo com o Imea, as regiões norte e oeste são as mais avançadas com 9,77% e 9,75% das suas respectivas áreas de soja colhidas. Já o médio-norte e noroeste surgem em seguida com 7,45% e 7,15%.

O sudeste mato-grossense colheu 5,06%, o centro-sul 4,97% e o nordeste 0,6%.

Focos de ferrugem asiática acendem alerta na soja

O alerta quanto ao aumento de casos de ferrugem asiática em Mato Grosso, principalmente em decorrência ao aumento das chuvas no estado, foi ligado. Na última semana pesquisadores da Fundação de Apoio à Pesquisa Agropecuária de Mato Grosso (Fundação MT), através do seu Laboratório de Fitopatologia, confirmaram a existência de focos em lavoura comercial nesta safra 2022/23 nos municípios de Itiquira e Campo Verde.

Conforme a Fundação MT, os dados estão inseridos no site do Consórcio Antiferrugem e o que chama a atenção nesta temporada é a severidade observada desta vez em áreas plantadas no início da janela de semeadura.

“Outro detalhe muito importante é que encontramos foco da doença em soja plantada na primeira quinzena de outubro. Nessa região temos ainda soja semeada na segunda quinzena de outubro e novembro. Ou seja, soja um mês mais nova do que a lavoura que confirmamos a ferrugem”, explica Mônica Müller, doutora e pesquisadora de Fitopatologia e Biológicos da Fundação MT.

Ainda de acordo com a especialista, a preocupação é que essa soja plantada mais tardiamente vai receber uma pressão da doença muito maior. “Historicamente encontramos focos nesse município, mas em semeaduras mais tardias, ou seja, da segunda quinzena de outubro e primeira de novembro”.
