O coordenador de Proteção de Defesa Civil (Compdec) de Sorriso, Fábio dos Santos, foi um dos agraciados com a Medalha Mérito Engenheiro Domingos Iglesias Valério. A cerimônia de entrega da honraria foi realizada na quinta-feira (3), na capital do Estado, e a medalha homenageia as pessoas que se destacaram com serviços e ações em prol do sistema de Defesa Civil de Mato Grosso.

A Compdec integra a Secretaria Municipal de Segurança Pública, Trânsito e Defesa Civil. O prefeito de Sorriso, Ari Lafin, também enaltece o trabalho desenvolvido por Fábio à frente da coordenadoria. “Uma justa homenagem a uma pessoa que se destaca por sua dedicação, empenho e tenacidade para sempre desenvolver ações e motivar pessoas em prol da segurança e bem-estar coletivos”, comenta, acrescentando que as ações interligadas com as forças de segurança estimulam ainda mais o trabalho da Defesa Civil no município.
