Com o isolamento social causado pela pandemia do coronavírus, o uso constante das máscaras, o trabalho no formato home office e a grande quantidade de selfies a procura pelo procedimento se tornou um verdadeiro “hit” da pandemia, de acordo com o cirurgião plástico Regis Ramos, membro da Sociedade Brasileira de Cirurgia Plástica.“Sentimos um aumento de 40% nas rinoplastias devido às videochamadas e selfies e 20% nas cirurgias de pálpebras. Com o isolamento social as pessoas ficaram mais focadas no celular e na autoimagem. Até 90% dos meus pacientes têm pedido resultados mais naturais e personalizados. Aquela rinoplastia da década de 1950 já está em desuso”, disse o médico que possui entre seus pacientes a primeira-dama Michelle Bolsonaro, Giovanna Antonelli, Sophia Abrahão, Arlete Salles.

Dr Regis Ramos ressalta a importância dos protocolos no combate ao covid-19. “As pessoas devem dar preferência a realizar a operação em hospitais que não tenham pacientes internados com Covid-19, assim como se certificar de que os profissionais envolvidos no procedimento realizaram testes RT-PCR 48 horas antes das cirurgias”.
