A família do cantor, que morreu nessa terça-feira (22), comunicou a causa do falecimento e as circunstâncias do velório.
Segundo informações de familiares, o músico, que estava internado desde o dia 2 de novembro, sofria de um quadro de paniculite complicada por sepse de origem cutânea.
Uma paniculite é uma inflamação na camada de gordura abaixo da pele, que se manifesta por caroços sensíveis e vermelhos. A sepse que levou às complicações à saúde de Erasmo é uma infecção generalizada que pode levar à falência de órgãos.
Além disso, a família determinou que o velório seria fechado, somente com a presença de amigos e familiares.
“No dia do músico, nosso amado Erasmo Esteves, o Erasmo Carlos, o Gigante Gentil, o Tremendão, o Pai do Rock Nacional, se despediu”, dizia o comunicado. “Erasmo criou, amou, acompanhou a cada um de nós nos momentos importantes das nossas vidas. E além de todas as maravilhas que compôs e cantou durante décadas, ele nos deixou recados: o futuro pertence à jovem guarda. E que é preciso saber viver! Vamos continuar cuidando das novas gerações, por nós e por ele”.
“O velório será fechado à família e amigos íntimos. Quem quiser homenageá-lo, escute suas músicas, suas mensagens. Nada o faria mais feliz e amado!”, conclui.
